Difference between revisions of "Printable Maps"

Downloadable pdfs of large maps are available here. To add or update maps on this page, you need to log in to the city's website admin page. The login credentials are stored in a text file at S:\Technology Services\GIS\Chad\documents\website instructions for uploading maps.txt.

Upload New Map[edit]

Click the folder icon in the top bar to open Document Central, then scroll down and open Engineering Department » Maps. Click the Add Document button then follow the instructions. When it's uploaded, find the link to the document (will look like http://www.cityofdenton.com/home/showdocument?id=7285).

Now click the page icon to go to the Pages section of the site. Expand Departments & Services » Engineering Services then click the arrow on the row for Printable Maps and select Edit (& View More Info). This will open the Printable Maps page. Mouse over the main body of the page and click the wrench in the upper right corner of the frame that appears. Copy and paste an existing link then click the copy and change the URL to the link from the previous step when you uploaded the map. Change the text of the link to the title of the new map and click Save, then click Save & Express Publish.

Update Existing Map[edit]

Go to Document Central » Engineering Department » Maps then click "<< Load More >>" until the map you want finally appears. Click the arrow on the right of the row for the map you want and select Update. Click the browse button and select the updated map file then click Save & Publish
